2018 Victory Dinner Highlights

What a great night of fellowship we had on April 12 at the Country Club of Virginia with guest speaker Adrian Branch, ESPN basketball analyst and former NBA basketball player for the LA Lakers. Those who shared their stories at the Victory Dinner were just some of the thousands involved locally with FCA.  While their stories are inspirational, those words represent the hearts of so many others whose lives are being transformed by the power of the Gospel message that FCA Staff carries to them. For others, their belief in the FCA mission was deepened.  Seventy guests have already shared gifts totaling $40,000.00.  That includes sponsorships, gifts toward the staff fund and $3,700.00 for Camp scholarships.

Impact Award Winner

The recipient this year was Coach Jeff Langford.  He was recognized at the Victory Dinner.  Coach Langford has served as a volunteer coach at FCA camp for 21 years, helped students initiate FCA huddles and chapel programs at LC Bird, Cosby and Monacan high schools and has personally bought hundreds of cases of FCA Bibles to share with other coaches, parents and students.  He currently serves as the head tennis coach at Monacan.  One of his current players, Aaron Parson, is grateful for his influence and encouragement to attend an FCA Camp and recently shared those thoughts at an FCA event. "Jeff is a humble man of God who appreciates every day as a gift," shared FCARVA Director Michael Stock. "He is generous with his time to serve at camp, and has a desire to share God's word. He and his wife Denise have been gracious volunteers with FCA for years and this award is so well deserved."
